1) National Museum of the American Indian (DC) 2) National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (Taichung, Taiwan) Hard to choose a third museum that substantially changed my views like these two, but the Academia Sinica Museum of the Institute of History and Philology in Taipei was pretty cool at least

I also very much enjoyed the Hermitage and The Peterhof in St Petersburg and the Tretyakov in Moscow, but the last time I was at either was the 90s, and the open windows etc caused me to wonder at their conservation capabilities. Hopefully different now.
