Though my workplace is very nice and my coworkers kind and welcoming, the above are things that i enjoy very much, and as you can tell by the length of this ramble, i very much don't like that i have even less energy for them than usual. Still got time, just can't do shit. As these issues were also present before getting an internship (again), it stands to reason that they'd be exacerbated by it, and that is in fact true! Though it did help my stress levels, it does take up some of my rather scarce energy, meaning less art, less modding/game dev and less co-op. Social event with friends for a few hours? Road trip with parents for a similar duration? Exhausted for the rest of the day. It's been like this since before covid, so that ain't what did me in. Add to this that i regularly suffer from executive dysfunction because of my ✨ neurodivergence cocktail ✨ and you have a head packed full of ideas entirely within my ability that just don't get executed, and i fucking hate it. I wanna co-op with my friends as well, but guess what? No energy. I am really, truly glad that Denmark has systems in place for folks like me who are wrecked for the foreseeable future, but god i wish i didn't need it. I spend a lot of my free time in a haze of tiredness, leading to a whole lot of blank staring whether or not there's a video in front of me. If i had the energy to work 37 hour weeks as well as take care of other life things and engage in my hobbies, i would get more done in one weekend than i do in an entire week right now, and i have tuesdays and thursdays off. Haven't experienced the following myself, but i do hear from others that part time workers are sometimes scorned for doing less and being all comfy and lazy and so forth. Although i largely consider it a good thing that i have an internship now (frontend dev at a pretty cool place i shan't mention to not doxx myself), it also highlights the issue of being so thoroughly fucked that the 12 hours a week i work is currently about as much as i can give.
