Well said. I think we inherited these materialistic thinking constructs masquerading as science , progress , and even commoditising values and our norms. We lack spiritual depth when we reduce ourselves to production, we need creation to nurture us and solve tragedies of the common.+accountability
The way these 'design/fashion' objects come into being plays a huge role in our purpose for him The artisinal craft of these things get's us to feel good about our labour. Artisans being estranged from the process leaves us feeling empty at our mass production jobs.. Too many bullshit jobs!
Maybe it plays a bigger role than i thought. Fashion could be good way to express ourselves and elevate mankind yet it's in a sad state, where branding reigns supreme. Pun intended. Alas, I've yet to read Hegel but I think Marxs view of purpose through labour and shaping our world is relevant too,

Good points. I deem optimising the world to minimise contact with eachother as also contributing to this problem. I prefer being a recluse however. The internet brought micro leverage to consumers, you have more options and possibilities to choose from. Great. But the internet can be better.
