The preference is not to use them indeed but once a name is validly published it can be used.

It was the lack of reasoning that annoyed me the most. Ok, massive the paper was on the border and you needed a few opinions. Then give us the reasons that made it borderline so we can improve for our next place. That's being collegiate.

I find BHX is getting worse and worse. I spent over an hour queuing there on a Wednesday afternoon. No obvious reason for security delays, just slow service.

No genomics based approaches define any of those as separate species, they are all variants of M. tuberculosis. Many like bovis have been given lineage numbers (La1 etc) but more genomes are needed for like Dassie to know their designation.

We had this discussion at ESM where many of these authors were present and agreed we should stop using M. afrcianum. Its a stigmatising term and not even a species at its most basal property as it doesn't form a monophyletic group!

I do like a word document too but prefer a word count to a page count. We spent a lot less time playing with formatting to squeeze an extra sentence in!

It's great Co-Is don't have to do extra stuff to hold it up but would be nice to be able to log in and see it and write stuff. Still some issues to be worked out but overall I think better than JeS
