The question of "cost" keeps getting thrown around with regards to crucial services and it baffles me that anyone still takes the bait. I don't expect my water bill to balance with my water profit, I expect to have some fucking water when I hand the money over!

We keep putting value into the USPS, libraries, education, etc. and then some fucking worm demands that we take some back out by making it more business-like. It will always, as a matter of course, make things worse.
