I absolutely agree there are more pressing issues but the right wing media set the agenda and we need to avoid the attacks Buying expensive items that ordinary voters can’t afford gives them ammunition to fire at us Taking freebies of any sort gives them even more It’s not fair but that’s how it is

I really don’t get this argument. Shouldn’t we be treating this sort of press coverage with the contempt it deserves? Why does socialism have to mean embracing poverty? Do Labour MPs need to be in sackcloth to be real? Why can’t socialists be wealthy and successful?
