Building a great social experience isn't just eng—there are tons of nuanced, non-tech decisions—but the eng is necessary (and very hard). The beauty of at proto is it abstracts away a lot of the eng work so people _can_ focus on the hard non-eng work

This is already happening with feeds and will happen with moderation. There are >15k feeds. Almost none of those devs could manage the infra bluesky’s team manages… the beauty is they don’t need to! They can focus on whatever makes their feed unique (maybe eng/related, maybe not)
