In light of @electricalwsop.bsky.social’s passing, it’s worth revisiting him struggling with his past as an edgelord. His desire to be better than his past is something we should all try to emulate.
Didn’t really know who he was before but this speaks to me a lot. RIP to a real one. I’m gonna remember these.
Oh no, I hadn’t heard about his death yet. He was a good guy. As a deadhead, I appreciated his honesty over the years in saying that he didn’t like the Dead and he never would. We all have bands and genres that just don’t work for us, and we all need to respect that.
I'd heard of him and saw him on some album credits but never knew about any controversy surrounding him.
I'm really going to miss him.
This should be auto-reposted every time someone tries to get out of being a reactionary asshole by giving some half-assed apology that always boils down to, "I'm sorry if what I've been saying for three decades hurt anybody's feelings. I don't plan to /change/ anything about myself over it, though."
You love to see it. I think many of us struggle with decisions in our past, but most of us don't have the attention of the world when we're going through it. Thanks for posting this
Thanks for sharing that.
It's always good to admit when you're wrong and even better to actively try to heal the wrongs you've committed.
Oh no ☹️
