For those of us who have kept an eye on mRNA technology, this means the Texas GOP is staking out an explicitly pro-cancer stance because they're mad that the vaccines happened under Biden. Incredibly weird behavior.

This is an incredible advance I missed it.

This is also an anti-business stance - TX has been driving hard to get biotech companies to open up shop there, and a likely generic, poorly-written ban on "mRNA technology" will be a huge blow to those efforts. I know of one contract drug manufacturer who just opened a DNA/RNA facility in TX. Ouch.

The insanity goes even deeper when you consider that it was the *Trump Administration* that got the vaccine developed.

Why do Republicans hate the post-born?

There are a lot of asymmetries between the parties right now, but you certainly didn't see large numbers of Democrats refuse to get vaccinated because the vaccines were developed under Trump's Project Warp Speed
