my general assumption is that on this front everyone is lying because everyone has specific interests in this situation that they know wouldn't play well if they said them aloud in certain forums. what's fucked is that Israel has no actual concept of what winning looks like outside of genocide.

to me, that's the connection between Israel and Nazi Germany, where the logic of the fascist state dictated the solution vis a vis Jews. very different from the US/Germany or even US/Japan situation, where victory for America needed to be "unconditional" (a lie) but not the wiping out of nations.
