Reminder: this was the weakest and most difficult to prove criminal case against Trump.
Weakest? Yes, 100%. Difficult to prove? Georgia's built itself quite a clusterfuck to deal with, lol.
And by far the least severe in terms of real world harm
Unfortunately it's also the only one that was allowed to run its course before he's installed back in the white house so he can kill any existing cases against him and enact legislation protecting him from ever being convicted of anything ever again.
The documents/espionage case is the most certain guilty verdict. Let’s keep him out of the WH and we will see him in prison.
But also the only one that’s gonna see the light of day thanks to Eileen cannon and SCOTUS
Cannon and Supreme Court. Have entered the chat.
I think this still was the weakest case against Trump, not because it was difficult to prove but because the general public is unlikely to think that financial chicanery crimes or paying hush money is particularly serious.
And yet the one most likely to result in a conviction.
When the first trial (and iffiest?) is a slam-dunk, it sets an expectation for the others. And when those are delayed by biased judges, it's easier to believe that Trump is trying to fix those cases—and that he's guilty. It's BAD to lose your first trial so decisively.
And it ended up a slam dunk.
