I think we should pick a different college athletic conference at random every five years and nationally obsess about the day to day goings on at those schools, then move on. I vote for the ACC first (as an ACC member school alum). Maybe do a D-III conference after that, for balance.
Please exempt NESCAC - folks at Middlebury lived through this obsessive spotlight a few years back and we've paid our dues!
You’re missing a whopper of an opportunity with the Missouri Valley Conference. Not only can you touch grass, you can watch it grow.
Nah, start with the PAC-2, as it's small enough to practice on.
Gotta ease the journalist class into it, start with something like NESCAC. They'll feel right at home obsessing about Amherst, Tufts, and Wesleyan, and then we can wean them onto bigger schools from there
I vote for the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Centenary College has a lot to answer for in picking “The Gentlemen” as their mascot. Certainly worthy of a congressional hearing or six.
Yeah, man, quit picking on the Ivies, there’s lots of shit going on everywhere
My Cal Golden Bears are trying this theory out. LOL Go ACC!
And don't forget community colleges! Let's get that sector into the rotation, please. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor...
Could we add in a lottery for picking which departments would be required to organize and field teams? For example, games contested by all-MBA teams would likely be more bloody and violent than anything phys-ed can muster.
