Presumably there are at least some US citizens living in Ohio who speak Haitian Creole. There are many ways for that to happen. Someone born in the US and raised in Haiti. Someone born and raised in Haiti who has at least one US citizen parent. Naturalized citizens. It would not be weird.

I steer clear of Ohio as much as possible, but I know it is big and has a lot of different kinds of people in it.
