Magnificent! 🔭🧪📸 Auroras from the recent extreme geomagnetic storms captured from orbit by NOAA's Joint Polar Satellite System satellites (NOAA-20 NOAA-21 S-NPP VIIRS instrument). This is our home planet, the Earth's magnetic field protecting us, and causing excitation in our atmosphere!
