issue 5b part 1 “Eudaimonia” means “the good life”, not just contentment but a deeper and more complex state of being. This is one chapter of a series that explores different aspects of the concept. patreon link in bio - no pressure, but any little bit helps!

Orange linework suggests crows feet and the wrinkles and shapes around the bottom of an eyelid. Below, in gray pencil it says “a wrinkle”
“I’ve been trying to feel good / about my face and” it says in the white space above a panel with a person looking at a phone held in one hand while putting the other hand over their face. Over this orange, red, and yellow drawing, text overlaps and extends past the edges of the orange panel border on both sides. It reads “it just keeps changing”. Below, outside of a panel gray text says “I just want to get used to it”
A square panel with gray panel borders holds an colored pencil figure looking in a mirror, the lines defining the mirror are the same orange as the panel on the last page. “I’ve got this feeling that” it says underneath the panel, “something in me is rotting”
A large panel fills most of the page, and inside is a gentle, detailed drawing of a cheek and jawline, cutting off right at the edge of the eye and the ear creating a feeling of the character being unable to meet the reader’s gaze. Towards the bottom in gray it says “somewhere I don’t know”

issue 5b part 2

“an infection”, “an abscess”, “a tumor” it says above an abstract shape made up of parallel curving orange lines, almost like a thumbprint. “I’ve got to spot it before it gets worse” it says.
A panel with a chin and a hand fingering the skin, seeming to feel across it. Following the shape of the face it says “but” and then again “but”. Below it says in the white space “I don’t want to look”
“because” text reads above an orange lined rectangle in the same shape as the mirror before.
“what if I find it” it says outside of any panel “what if it’s real”. Below in a large panel, a small figure stares into an orange mirror-like rectangle.
