yeah, that, and also I don't like the fact that we mostly only talk to one person and nothing really happens. like in MM people talked to each other, something was happening, there was a plot, and ssum is like a "chat with a friend" simulator. (i didn't know about the aiart stuff, ew.)

Oh 💯. You felt like you were part of something in MM. A tight knit group. I think they wanted to emulate that with the whole "universe mini social network", but that quickly became a nightmare of battery begging. I tried to have my own fun in the game making random challenges for myself, but...
