It also doesn't help that I have an awful memory, which is why I'm thankful for having books related to Christianity in addition to the numerous study Bibles. I just purchased a MacArthur Study Bible (NASB 2nd Edition). I find it helpful to reference different translations.
I apologize if I made things too intense. That wasn't my intention. 😅 I still lack understanding, so I rely heavily on books when talking about Christianity. But maybe I'll understand better in the future. ❤️✝️
Truly, I enjoyed talking and learning about Gnosticism since my understanding was limited. However, there's only so much time during the day, and I'm already behind in studying other areas, like apologetics, Church history, and theology, on top of reading the Bible. Thank you for your time! ❤️✝️
This is one of the books from the library I'm trying to grow as I journey to develop my relationship with God. ❤️✝️ I've been finding the books I've been gathering to be helpful since my understanding is lacking and I want to talk to be better at taking others about Christ. 🙏❤️✝️🤩
For those following along, I just wanted to add this commentary because I am limited by the number of characters allowed in each post. OT = Old Testament NT = New Testament I'm enjoying the discussion and hope people feel free to join in.
I guess I'm still confused by what you mean by "beyond/above personal". In both the OT and NT, God is presented as a God who desires a personal relationship with us.
What type of sauce did you get with your nuggies? I'm boring with sticking to the standard BBQ sauce. 😅
Could you explain what you mean by: • God is impersonal. • God can't be personal. I don't want to misunderstand what you mean or assume any meaning in your statement. Especially on social media, I think it's vital not to infer what the other person didn't claim. ❤️
I was wondering if the "ultimately incomprehensible" is similar or different from the "The Knowability and of God" (as explained in the attached images)? I also appreciate you being so open with engaging with me. As I've said, I've never engaged with a gnostic Christian. 🙏❤️✝️
I've never interacted with a gnostic Christian before. I hope it's okay for me to ask a question: How do you view the incarnation of Jesus, the notion of a spiritual God taking upon himself a human nature and body?
