I love this cat statue from Iran! Please zoom in to see the fine textures and designs on the surface. Ca. 1850 - 1900. collections.louvre.fr/en/ark:/5335...

Very nice modern studio photograph of a metal cat sculpture. It is stylized and almost cartoonish but in an artful way. It is made from steel that is blackened and decorated with delicate gold ornamentation. The steel seems matte at first but closer examination reveals it is beautifully detailed with fur texture and floral designs. The cat it in a half- standing sort of crouch, looking upward with a somewhat humanoid face, as if begging for food from above.

Just seems incomprehensible to me that a *police officer* would break the *law*.

Excited to announce my next #SciArtmakingspace.psi.edu

Flier shows an image of four brass hourglasses which contain different colors and textures of soils. The main text reads "Making Space: A workshop on space, sci-art, and society. November 1-3, 2024 in Pasadena, CA." The flier states the theme "Chronology, how time shapes planets, perceptions, and people" and lists guests Dr. Suzanne Smrekar (NASA's VERITAS mission to Venus), Jane Szabo (Los Angeles based conceptual artist), Emoily Law (NASA Solar System Treks, JPL)
