Symbolic AI & (often biomimicking) search/optimising algorithms are exciting because it can produce UNEXPECTED, non-obvious results that are hard for humans to find. Generative shit only comes up with the bleeding obvious—but far less efficiently &worse than a human could; it can only interpolate.
