In Vacantverse, during her summer vacation, Suzume travels to Steam Bison to search for her missing father and ends up meeting Luke and Layton after being dragged into a case. She is studying nursing. It is canonically stated in a Gash Cafe chapter that Suzume wants to become a nurse.
