fredrik backman i'm pretty sure is YA + tragedies. his one book "a man called ove" was adapted into a film "a man called otto" starring tom hanks. and then with karen m. mcmanus it's also YA but mysteries and thrillers. her most famous book series is "one of us is lying" which is now on netflix
