I'm curious - do you always take photos of the same piece of sky (i.e., from the door of the Shed - or hotel if you're away)? And/or do you try for the same time of day (as a break from editing, for example)? I admire long-term, in-place, projects, but could never do it for more than 3 days! 😄
I asked my friend, who studies disasters, what we should do to brace ourselves in the face of catastrophe, and after a moment my friend, who studies disasters, replied that in the face of catastrophe what we should do is embrace each other.
I didn't get that at all! The face I saw was that of a bearded man, looking up. 😄 (Apologies for the clumsy edit; it makes him look more, umm, 'groovy', than the serious / reverent original. 😬)
Oooh, very pretty! 🤩
Oh, YES! 🍂 🍁 😊
It wasn't me!! I was outside the whole time! Tree leaves are much better than leaves of a book any day, but especially in Autumn - more intriguing scents, they dance better, and make prettier visual art. 🍂
And this morning the Shed is a harlequinade of fallen leaves and sunlight.
🧵An open question: Describe a memorable moment when you had a knock-out reaction to an art work? Like that whole body & mind swoon, a personal game changer. Mine was in 1988. I was in Manhattan on an art school trip, gallery hopping. I was in The Whitney, exhausted after a day of visiting galleries.
I'm always thinking about how everything is connected & interconnected & how to achieve maximum results from efficient effort. This is from @bethsawin.bsky.socialwww.resilience.org/stories/2023...

(I hope it's clear weird isn't bad!! Just interesting!! Usually your cloud photos evoke one of only a few emotions, this one evokes something entirely different and I'll be thinking about it all day.)
