📄 New preprint out: arxiv.org/abs/2401.09541 Cat-qubits 🐈 + LDPC codes 🔀 They are a good idea to reduce the overhead of quantum error correction! This work is by Diego Ruiz with Jérémie Guillaud, Anthony Leverrier, Mazyar Mirrahimi and myself, a Inria and Alice&Bob collaboration.
Quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes are a promising construction for drastically reducing the overhead of fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) architectures. However, all of the...

I am hiring one postdoc for 1 year, starting March 2024, to work on quantum algorithms on graph problems, with applications to chemistry.
Happy to help ! (Especially when I'm supposed to be writing important evaluation reports due very soon instead)
Right!! I'm biased of course
To illustrate how quantum superposition and measurements work one can use a smartphone 📱 and two pairs of 👓 3D glasses 👓 to measure the emitted polarized light in different basis successively. What other simple experiments one can do to illustrate quantum principles ? 🧪⚛️
Oh ok thanks !
Oh ok, so the word quantum is used in exactly the way I was asking for, thanks !
