i think this mismatch is a crucial part of social media. it also happens a lot when people are trying to work through ideas in public. over the years i've had times where i post things and in my head i imagine i'm thinking out loud but others consume it as a strident, deeply held opinion of mine
this isn't the point but these truth social screeds really highlight how helped trump was by the original character constraints of twitter
