It feels like a lot of the reason for the current discourse around the phrase “TERF Island” is that a lot of people seem to have extrapolated it into “Transphobe Island”. Tbh more broadly, lots of people now seem to use TERF as completely interchangeable with transphobe, which baffles me.
One of the fun things about tutoring Welsh is that (surprise, surprise) it's mostly people living in Wales, which means sometimes when they complain about the weather I get to be like "lol sucks for u xxx" while basking in the clear skies of Edinburgh

I'm not entirely sure how I turned a 10 minute cycle into 40 minutes, but the several wrong turns and realisation at my destination that both tyres are quite flat and given I haven't cycled in about six months I should have definitely checked over the bike first probably had something to do with it
