There's absolutely nothing wrong with the White House issuing a statement that simply opposes violence against a religious minority. That is all this statement says.

Um, they could also oppose what happened to peaceful student protestors. This isn't hard. Every damn report out there, even the NYPD police chief said, they were peaceful.

The problem is that it lies about what happened and uses a false version of events to justify violent supression of free speech.
