Well I don’t see much long term food storage in PLA… maybe not stable enough?

it's hygroscopic (which doesn't mean just water, it means smells will attach to it too) and it can't be transparent, there's little reason to use it over PMMA/acrylic or PET (PMMA is recyclable and very safe but is relatively expensive. PET is plenty recyclable, we just don't)
