Last 4; this makes me look real hoity toity but last week I logged four Child’s Play movies so who’s to say?
someday this will be studied as a cultural nadir, a symptom of corporate group-think that induced a kind of mass hypnosis. This image will be in an Adam Curtis doc: Can’t Get You Out of My Head 2
I’ve watched it twice but the second time I just fast-forwarded to the action scenes lol
Yeah I love Night, don’t mind the runtime, but I felt it in Big 4. It’s my least fave of his stuff but just threw it out there as kind of a tonal shift that might be appealing. Maybe his May the Devil Take You movies? they’re a ton of fun. Better Evil Dead movies than the recent Evil Dead movies
don’t know that The Big 4 would change your mind but if you like very silly comedy mixed in with disgustingly violent action it might hit the spot
Variations on Iserois Landscapes (2024; Flo Mavy) diaristic travelogue that attempts to navigate stasis, duration, and the ghost of the artist’s hand. Demanding, but very worthwhile for those inclined to sit with it
Tha homey Dowd killin it here:
