We already offload a lot of our most automatable home labour to cheaper, purpose-specific machines. Can a $30,000 humanoid robot mix batter any better than a countertop mixer, or make bread better than a bread maker? My coffeemaker is already programmable & is so cheap as to be treated as disposable
Utopian, life improving applications for humanoid robots are much harder for me to imagine than job replacing and dystopian tasks for robots of various form factors: cop and soldier bots, say, or self driving Amazon trucks deploying bots to carry packages up the front steps to your door
