The problem with this is that in a literal town square you pop off like some of these assholes do you get your ass kicked. Theres also censorship and ostracism of racism in real life. Her argument completely ignores this.
Imagine being so privileged and sheltered that you (and by you, I mean her. Not you!) think that racist discourse is a mere difference of opinion that adds spice to an otherwise bland discussion. (Not that this person uses spices, I presume.) I bet it feels different when it's your own humanity,
