Two full days of demonstrating music production and coding with controllers at the Indiana Historical Museum. We had a great response. Hundreds of students and families came by. Looking forward to doing more of this work.
Our team is ready for STEM Innovation Day and Tinkerfest at the Indiana State Museum this weekend. We’ll be showing our work coding in Scratch with Makey Makey controllers and music production in Soundtrap. The event brings over 1,000 kids in grades K-8.
Teaching statistics has been both a rewarding and challenging process. I found inferential stats difficult during my doctoral studies. However, some years later, I so appreciate the quantitative training I received as it also clarifies things in my own work.

I've been dipping my toes more into GenAI this semester and have to say I do find it helpful for generating ideas. Sometimes I use it to plan out lectures and have also used it sparingly for coming up with homework questions and research prompts. With care, it can be a really helpful tool.
I get kind of excited when I see survey numbers increase. Looking forward to digging into the data in a few weeks. 🤓
