One more plug for the piece I wrote this week about the escalating climate situation. Feels insane to exist right now!
Took a swing at talking about The Horrors and attempted to draw some lines between the cascading climate disasters, bloated aid packages to the ongoing genocide, and reopening of nuclear plants to run AI data centers.
Went to a bike shop once and a guy had a nametag that said "Demon" on it and my friend said "is that your real name" and the guy said "no, I wear it so people don't ask me about my name" and like sorry man but if that's the goal maybe just try putting Jeff on there or something
Many of your are speaking to me as though my cat doesn’t sleep in a little cardboard box next to my bed. Your tone does not imply the reverence one should have for a man whose cat sleeps in a little cardboard box next to his bed.
We do not lose the ability or need to be burped in adulthood, we simply forget its importance
Was reminded today of a piece I wrote in 2021 about how rich people don't live in or care about our world anymore. Whether it's true or not, they believe their wealth can insulate them from what's coming, so they're accelerating towards it for profit. Sad how little has changed in 3 years.
I've surveyed the job market a bit and have come to the conclusion that I may just never have a day job again. Doesn't seem great but that's just the situation I guess!
I'm no connoisseur of automotive writing (or spelling french words) but surely it don't get much better than this from @dansheehan.bsky.socialdansheehan.substack.com/p/highway-to...
The line between America's automobile obsession and its descent into fascistic individualism is getting easier and easier to draw.
If you read one of my posts and get mad that it doesn't apply to your specific personal experience, you should know that I did it on purpose. I considered every possible experience and reaction and left yours out. I work against you from the shadows and will continue doing so.
