Lol, well I feel its difficulty is way overblown. Trust me, if it were that tough I'd have never beat it since I actually try to stay away from those types of games. There's a reason I've avoided souls games so far 😂 It's a bit challenging but 100% doable imo. Clear Sky's actually worse.

Same, I'm always a sucker for post-apocalyptic stuff, but if you add this type of grim aesthetic and soundscape to it then I'm 100% there. And yeah, I love how STALKER splits from irl events to create this alternate universe in such a layered way. They've done an awesome job with it over the years.
Absolutely, folks really made a ton of noise when that was announced and rightly so. It would've been awful and likely even killed the game altogether.
Man that's so awesome! I actually only played through the 2nd one last month, before I had only touched Shadow and Call of Pripyat. COP holds up quite well even today imo. But I've also been obsessed with lore stuff. Even ordered the book that inspired the IP haha.
