Talking of Shad and HEMA, I remember one of his videos where he defends a really stupid move – jumping backwards and shoving your sword out with both arms. He shares a video of him doing it, where he's obviously unbalanced and his thrust is robbed of all force by him moving backwards... 1/2

His instructors told him it was dumb. Anyone LOOKING can see it's dumb. But he has convinced himself that he knows better and this is a secret super move the Wole Don't Want You To Know (or some shit). Arrogance personified.
