the OSSC S-Video add-on is even worse than the cheap converters on Amazon if you connect a C64. the colour level is too high and so you get white stars and shadows. the StarTech is the only device that seems to anticipate such worse signals.
after the OSSC I bought the StarTech S-Video/Composite converter because I finally wanted a higher quality converter, and that was the one. the quality is as perfect as my good old Panasonic plasma tv's S-Video input. but it doesn't look as nerdy as the OSSC. 😉
surely a great device when there's space for it. I'm glad I have the OSSC but the quality is not as good as with your pro-device.
