I'll be forever grateful for what Enfield gifted me. If I were ever part of making something just a fraction as good as Enfield, I’d be very happy indeed. It'll never happen, but it’s good to have aspirations, right? xd And Enfield is everything I aspire to in storytelling 🥰🥰🥰
I love this book with all my heart. Reading issue 1 is what made me realise that I need to write comics. Enfield got me into art and made me want to try to learn about colours and to try to learn how to draw, even though I stopped drawing a long, long time ago. 2/3
(The line art is not mine, of course, though not totally sure who did it - it was part of the tutorial I was following.)
(Which is probably a little unfair to ones I've read previously considering I was really, *really* bad at reading comics then and I am slightly less bad now xd Maybe I should give them another go at some point)
Now that the TTB singles box is full, Mr Armadillo no longer fits in it, but I've found him a new spot on the Texas shelf :D (The seller also included these thingies, but I don't know what they are, exactly / where they come from.)
For those who don't know, this is about Oksana Chusovitina, Uzbekistani gymnast. Competed at 8 Olympics under 3 teams (the Unified team; Uzbekistan; Germany), and we all love her because she's 49 and still going in a sport notorious for its short careers. She's a legend.
??? I recognise this, too! ??? What is going on I never recognise anything, I never know anything about anything - and I certainly didn't expect to find anything I knew something about in this book lolll
Oh, interesting! I didn't realise there were three of these haha This was one of the only books involving his art that my comic book shop could get - I'd also been hoping for Zorro xd. I'm completely new to his work and know nothing about him so hopefully it'll be an interesting read / decent intro
It's frequently a little overwhelming (which is why I talk about it relatively a lot lol) and I'm kind of hoping it stops doing that sooner rather than later lol Although IDK I still sometimes feel this way about gymnastics, and it's been over 30 years there so who knows
Guess I shall have to be content with remaining under a rock when it comes to film lol (Well. I *suppose* I could start on the very long backlog of all the ones that have been out for years and that are culturally important that I've never seen... xd)
