CRABRUTE is based on the Heikegani, a Yokai crab with a human face on their backs This yokai is based on a real crab of the same name (Heikeopsis japonica) whose back does look like a human face. Its pincer is based on a Kanabo, a type of wooden and metal club used by the samurai to break armors.

Faketober Day 11 (Yokai) - CRABRUTE (Water/Dark) "They are said to be the reborned souls of samurai who died in battle, their faces full of rage forever etched in the back of their shells. They use their heavy pincers as blunt weapons, they can crack the hull of a boat in a single blow"

TAMAGHOST is based of course in Tamagotchis, more precisely in dead Tamagotchis since they died so often

Faketober Day 10 (Cyber)- TAMAGHOST (Ghost/Fairy) "A dead virtual pet brought back as a ghost by the sadness of its owner. This pokemon is attracted by sad children looking to cheer them up by displaying colorful lights and joyful sounds."

JESTRICKERY is based on the Hawaiian Happy-Face Spider (Theridion grallator) mixed with a clown, they are always in their clown form, they only return to their spider form when sleeping or injured

Faketober Day 9 (Imposter) - JESTRICKERY (Bug/Psychic) "It feeds from the strong emotional reactions of others, the bigger the emotion the more psychic energy they consume. Some prefer to act playful to cause joy, others like to act creepy to cause fear"

TWORRIBLE is based on the Ashinaga-Tenaga, a Japanese Yokai described as two being, one with long legs (Ashinaga Jin) and one with long arms (Tenaga Jin) that work together to catch fish. They are also based on vintage halloween costumes

Faketober Day 8 (Long) - TWORRIBLE (Dark) "A couple of imp-like pokemon that work together as a single creature, they are never seen one without the other. They love pranking people at night and very often can be heard giggling in the dark, plotting their next trick"

DUSKNIGHT is based on the Black Knight Satellite, a mysterious object floating above the earth's pole that some believe is from estraterrestrial origin.

Faketober Day 7 (Stellar) - DUSKNIGHT (Steel/Psychic) "This pokemon's origin is still a mystery to scientists. It was first discovered floating in space just above the earths stratosphere. After studying it metalic body, many believe it may come from another planet"
