I’ll never forget evacuating from Hurricane Irma in 2017 with a big rush of traffic and watching the other side of the highway be empty except the steady stream of utility trucks headed into the danger zone.

Oh god that was awful. We had to go all the way to Georgia to get a hotel room and when we got there the bed was literally soaked with urine. We’d been driving all day and the nearest available room was 5 hours away so we just slept on the floor.
