Unfortunately, I don't remember where all of them are from, because I've been collecting them from the internet for years. But I do know a lot of them came from Deviantart users "sabockee" and "RieyTails".
I refuse to accept that Mike, the African-American boxer kicked out of professional boxing for excessive violence, and Mike Bison, the African-American boxer kicked out of professional boxing for excessive violence, are two separate characters.
Alternatively, you could stick Alex with Luke. They're both American and have that Military-chic sense of style. They're also both the "new face" of their respective SF games. That leaves Joe and Remy stuck together. Team Leftovers.
Yes he will. Because he's secretly a SiRN Copy Fighter.
They're victims of not having anyone better to team up with. Hugo+Poison is a must-have team. Haggar+Zangief is also pretty obvious. The only real connection between Remy and Alex is they fought in 3S and didn't hate each other afterwards. It's an "I need a teammate, and I know you" situation.
Thanks! Pretty much all of them have at least SOME connection/something in common. Probably the most tenuous is Alex+Remy. Whose only real connection is "met in 3S". Also Luke+Joe. Where Luke is just like, "He looks like my dad." :p
That's not irrational at all. That's just practical.
It was weird hearing you guys say the Budokai games are the direction fighting games could have taken, because they absolutely did. They're called Arena Fighters and most shonen anime games are this kind of game. All those Naruto games. Most Dragon Ball games. Also the the FF Dissidia games.
QotW: Maarek Stele. Protagonist of TIE Fighter. Just a no-nonsense working class TIE Fighter pilot trying to bring peace and order to the galaxy, and protect the people from those pesky Rebel terrorists.
