Unfortunately I think she's taking this as "something terrible happened in my childhood and my mind's not letting me remember it" and trying to find repression where it doesn't exist.

Which is interesting. It'd be facinating if I discovered I was repressing this whole time without realizing it, but I honestly don't think there's anything there.
