I wish academics wd understand that shutting down universities is happening alongside a bunch of other moves to limit people's freedom & autonomy--
--e.g., consolidation of news media, harassment of doctors for vax & abortions, stochastic racial terror, anti-trans laws, rollbacks of gay rights, clampdown on women's reproductive rights, & attacks on the franchise
