def not engaging in anything political here again. lots of ideologues who think they're protesting a system by protesting a candidate. the evil is built in. busted democracy gives us a shread of hope in managing it. positive change can happen at the ballot, big change doesn't care about the cycle.
also, i unliked your post. sorry, that was snotty.
i am not blind to the genocide. it is happening, and it is historic levels of evil that will taint US history forever. it will not change with a republican in power. we'd have the same genocide but with a side of "trans people are sex criminals" or whatever they choose.
Never liked Biden or Harris of course, and obviously I do not want Trump to win, so it's weird to also feel like the candidate I am resigned to deserving is fucking up on just a basic campaigning level. You suck! Campaign better!
it kills me, but like—Trump, then?
one of two people can win this election.
i have voted third party more than i'd care to admit, but in this cycle a third party vote amount to half a Trump vote. i agree with your criticisms, but it's so obvious to me that a Harris administration is better than a Trump administration.
agreed! the shit part is that election season is not when we can impose our demands. in election season the gun is already at our temples. we have to be motivated without a deadline.
look, i have nothing personally to win here. what i see is a choice between a dangerous candidate and an obviously lousy one. there are no other realistic options. i choose lousy. i do not support her unconditionally, but the lesser evil is clear. again—the game sucks, but it's the only one in town.
or course, yeah. how does that inform your voting choice, though? pragmatically.
