The swipe at the media for not "giving a shit" before his tweet: NYT had front-page feature on Haitians in Springfield last week, with details about the Haitian man convicted after killing a kid with his van. I figured this was where he was going, but it's extra cheap and sleazy.
"murdered" strikes me as deceptive and intentionally inflammatory under these facts.
I remember Paul Ryan doing the same thing with Hispanics in Reading, PA in 2012 Wait, that did not happen. Miss my party.
“No right to be here” implies that the guy hadn’t followed the legal process. But hey guess what. Not a fan of vehicular manslaughter of course but if Vance finds out how many white Americans do it he’ll flip his wig
Wow, this is an incredibly troubling statement. I knew the campaign was bad; I didn’t realize it was *this* bad.
Republicans are about to shut down the government during an election for the sole purpose of screaming about illegal immigrants. They're banking on mass violence if Kamala wins
There was widespread anti-immigrant violence in the UK this summer fanned by misinformation spread online. Surely Vance knows this. Surely he knows he’s risking getting people seriously hurt.
You're a journalist. Call his office and ask for proof that they received complaints/calls/emails about Haitian immigrants stepping cars and eating them. Ask them what they did next after receiving said reports.
Not the main thing here of course, but I am struck we've gotten to where the GOP VP candidate publicly saying "give a shit" is totally unremarkable. Wasn't that long ago the profanity alone would have prompted a fair amount of pearl-clutching.
