There's a new issue of Viz on sale, and the Real Ale Twats pay a visit to their local, ahem, "Sydney Smithers" pub.

I went into The Kings Arms in York a while back, where those rules are rigidly enforced ‘to bring conversation back into pubs’. As I walked in, my phone was just *in my hand* and I got a warning about it. Looked around and dear Christ, everyone in that pub was silent and looked miserable as sin.

Hooray! At last! Finally a worthy supervillain to match the casketeers!

Did a news report on ‘those pubs’ a few years back & part of it was asking passers-by if they’d be offended by hearing certain words, which I’d written down on cards so the camera couldn’t see but it caught their reaction when I showed them the words
