Ok doomer, even if you're right, we should work to keep Earth habitable. Each of us will eventually die of something, but it doesn't make treatment for whatever ails us pointless. Each new generation of humans and each species saved from extinction is precious beyond words.

If the word "doomer" is to be used pejoratively, then it should be used for extractivism-, colonialism- and ecology-blind techno-solutionists.
