Its very simple really; the mass killers dont break the law & annoy people. Like it or not, the route forward has always been to change the law. Quakers talking truth to power have always known this. Educate people and lobby for change is the only way to the new age. Quakers paid the price.

It's the judge. Practically a thousand scientists with a lot of knowledge but without power against one judge in power. Who wins and why? Yes, you guessed it right.

They are political prisoners. They show what the status quo values: material things over people. They are the example telling people to confirm.

Why do environmental protests tend to be against the bad things, rather than for the solutions? Positive campaigning would be so much harder to argue against.
