This is at least something! I've only heard about the evils of development and densification from the UK sources I follow.
This article is about greenfield development and I've yet to hear about the UK promoting land use reform in existing communities. I'd love to see something to the contrary!
It's good that they actually want to build housing. It's bad that they just want greenfield development instead of allowing density.
And extremely anemic pro-housing politics. Like, nobody seems to support land use reform
This is an underreported contributor to the housing supply crisis: households are getting smaller (more single occupancy housing units; note the connection to the loneliness epidemic, too), resulting in the need for more housing units even when population contracts.
