I was not collapsing all radicalism into revolutionary violence. Instead I was suggesting the apparent likelihood of violence being employed to avoid and invalidate more radical policy approaches to our climate crises. Sans lots of care, many (most?) will defend their comfort to the cost of everyone
Liberal incrementalism attempts to achieve the achievable without pushing us into one or more worse crises. Of course, what is the best achievable outcome is hidden to us.
I think it comes down to what is actually achievable, & what action risks making things worse. Whether we like it or not (not), those who refuse to accept lifestyle change or care about addressing multifaceted crises seem to be the same who wouldn't mine killing to maintain their lifestyle.
