Just by chance in the lodging I was at last week (not in NC) I got to talk with a man from Asheville who said he couldn't go back home yet, and that no one there actually cared about flood insurance because "it's the mountains" or something like that. Well the "never befores" are coming up fast 😳

An amazingly tragic story, both for the victims and for the rest of the country that is equally badly prepared for future disasters.
