It’s crazy that we live in a time where I could say, “I support public libraries” and you’ll know which presidential candidate I’m voting for.
My township has decided not to pay to use the library in the nearby city so there is no public library available to any of the residents…including the kids who attend school in the city. There are no longer libraries in the schools. They have NO library
Even crazier that there are hundreds of such sentences like 'I believe when public officials break the law, they should be held accountable' or 'Igovernment policy should take scientific knowledge into account' or 'I don't want kids to work in mines' or 'I think people who work should be paid.'
Remember when "don't drink bleach" was political partisanship?
I think you could say stuff like "reading is good" or "girls can be doctors!" and it would be just as clear.
really puts it into perspective
damn sad that not all dems feel this way though (looking at Eric Adams)
Yeah, it's some real Victorian Era "are there no workhouses?" shite.
Ben Franklin?
